US Trip Part IV, San Diego
Our schedule changed a little bit when we were on the way to Los Angeles, that is we were supposed to go to visit L.A. in the first day, then drive to San Diego on the second day, but as the second day was weekend, and the traffic was hard to predict, so we just made these 2 days plan flipped over.
It was not a long drive from our hotel in L.A., just about 2 hours. The day was as bright as it could be, but it was still a little cool for summer dress, especially when we were on board of this boat tour in the harbor. The harbor is a military harbor, many battle ships were just not far away there, we were lucky as the guy on board told us, the air carrier Reagan and Nimitz were just back from somewhere last Friday. So plus the already retired carrier Midway, we saw 3 carriers in the same day.
There was no restriction on photography, and if you like to pay $17, you can even take a tour on board the carrier Midway, but for Reagan and Nimitz, I don’t think there is any chance to visit them by this time…

There was a famous black-white photo taken, a sailor was kissing a nurse, and there is a statue to memorize WWII just by the side of the carrier, it is about 3 times bigger than a normal man’s size, and the nurse’s skirt puffing in the air…I just went under it and checked a little, there was just nothing…eh…

Not far further, there are some real-sized navy statues by the corner, here is one of them.
After lunch, we were at the island of Coronado, the time was about 2 pm, we were at the other side of San Diego, a perfect place to make some panorama pictures. Click here for a panorama photo I shoot at this location.

This photo was shoot at the same time and same location as well. There is a retired community just behind, wow, if everyday we can have this view from the sea when retired or just tired of those worldly affairs…

In the afternoon, we also visited this hotel and tried their nice ice cream, excellent service and for sure their beach and swimming pool.

Many seagulls flying above, and some more bigger-sized birds, I mean the military choppers.

Ok, some more photos about this hotel.

This is the lobby, it is a little bit looked like a haunted in the night maybe, just joking. For people has more interests about this hotel you can both check at wiki or their website.

Talking about Haunted House, a friend natively from San Diego told me there is another place world famous, the Whaley House just behind this white building. I will go and say Hi there next time.

The Old Town at San Diego shows the early time of the area, it is like a live museum with court, jail, shops, banks, yards, etc. But we didn’t have much time on this site. I just took a picture of the map for future exploration.

Okay, so much for the tour in San Diego, I will come back later.
