San Francisco was our second stop. The flight lasted about 5 hours long. There was no free food on board, but the drinks was free, the video on the plane showed us how to cook crab and sea food, my mouth was watering…

By the time we were landing, I saw another plane also was going to land, two planes come closer and closer, I wondered maybe the two pilots are just racing to be the first to land… for sure there was no accident because the airport can land two planes at two different lanes, this is my first time to such a thing.

Without a lunch in San Francisco, we headed directly to the Golden Gate Bridge, a place famous both in architecture design and suicide, we didn’t drive on the bridge, and I was lazy to walk any further, just shoot this only photo of the bridge, the weather was not very good.

On the way back from the bridge, we passed by this Cemetery, solders died in Korean War were buried here.

At the Palace of Fine Arts, I was stopped by this guy, one of the two brothers, another one was not so cooperative. A Korean couple told us something about their babes.

One of my favorite movie ‘Rock’ was shoot here in San Francisco, I don’t know which road exactly when they were chasing each other, but this picture can show you it is not a easy job both to drive and park here.  This is just some steps away from the Lombard Street, it was no good to shoot at the street as the sun was facing directly to my lens, to remind me where I was, I also shoot a picture of the street name and number down below.

Door decoration at one of the houses.

I forget the name of this building, said to be one of the landmarks of San Francisco, after this cross we passed by some narrow alleys between huge buildings, that resemble New York. There are many Italian restaurants at the both side of the street. Time went quickly,  we were heading to our dinner.

Sunny California? We encountered a drizzle day when we went to see more of this city the next day morning. There is a retired submarine parking here, the island in the far end of the picture, most parts of the Rock was shoot there,  and we were told that it was a federal prison many years.

By the square of the Fisherman’s Wharf, there are many small restaurants serving crabs packed in plastic box, cost from $5-8$ each pack.

Another side of square, there is a wax museum and some shops.

Before lunch, we had two places to visit, this is the Consulate General of China in San Francisco, but they had a busy day, we went to our 2nd destination by the corner.

This is the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, a modern building designed by I.M.Pei. There was no mess at the moment, let’s have a little rest here. After lunch, we will head to Las Vegas, another 1.5 hour flight, not so long.

I was lucky to seat by the window this time, and I was lucky to see another air plane flying back from Vegas to … maybe… San Francisco, can you see the little dot at left side of the picture? And at that moment, I asked myself the same luck will be with me in Las Vegas ?

Okay, please check the map of our activities in San Francisco:
