For dresses, you may try:
*Dongdan Yinjie (东单银街), Longfusi (隆福寺), Mingzhu Market (明珠市场), Huawei Market (华威商场), Wantong (万通) these are for local girls to visit.
*Xiushui or Silk Market (秀水), Yaxiu Market (雅秀), Yuexiu Market (岳秀), these 3 places are very similar places and close by.
*Dashilan (大栅栏), Dongwuyuan or Zoo area dress street (动物园服装市场), these places are very cheap, and shopping atmosphere could be a little noisy
For pearl souvenir, you have to go Hongqiao Market, especially on the 3rd and 4th floor are just the pearl stuff, other floor just normal tourist souvenir shops. Close by, there is a Toy Market.
For something like in the department store, you may try:
*Wangfujing (王府井)
*Xidan (西单),
For tea, you must go to Maliandao Tea Street.
For Antique, you may try:
*Panjiayuan Flea Market (潘家园), or very close by the Curio City (古玩城)
*Liulichang (琉璃厂)
For computer,digital camera,mobile phone, you may try at:
*Zhongguancun (中关村) there are many shops and buildings
*Buynow (百脑汇)
