Mr. Feng Jian’guo was born in Hainan, 1962. From 1988, he studied photography in Japan, and got his MFA in 1998. Now he is professor of photography in Beijing Film Academy.

As a professional large format photographer, his works are in black and white, 8″ by 10″ sized, he is follower of Ansel Adams. He has visited many times into the west of China, including Ningxia, Xinjiang, Tibet and Sichuan Provinces.

He has many photo exhibitions in the topic as: the silk road, the Road to heaven, etc. Professor Feng’s work is very impressive in the abundant details of gray value, especially in contrast control, exposure, and darkroom skill.
